Gogglebox favourite Ellie Warner has starred in the Channel 4 reality series alongside sister Izzi since 2015.

The Leeds-based sisters quickly became popular with viewers thanks to their hilarious one-liners on the show. Fans were delighted for Warner when she gave birth to her first child in 2023, a son named Ezra.

Warner, 34, enjoys sharing sweet snaps of her son online, usually sparking positive comments from viewers, but a recent post on Instagram saw her having to hit back with a response after she was “shamed” about her parenting habits.

The snap showed Ezra smiling in an ACDC outfit, with his blonde hair tied into a ponytail.

While many gushed over the cute photo, one person took the opportunity to troll Warner, hitting out at her decisions on how to style her son’s hair among other things.

They penned: “I love you on TV but please think about your sons future.

“Get his hair cut and stop breastfeeding him, he has to grow up with all this not you, give him a chance at a normal life at least.” (sic)

Sharing the remark with her 490,000 followers, she wrote: “This is what we’re up against. No words.”

The mother-of-one quickly showed she wasn’t deterred by the cruel remark by going on to share another photo of Ezra, once again with his hair up, dancing while sporting a pair of sunglasses.

She included several feminist messages on the picture, including text that read: “Patriarchy sucks,” and “Masculinity is what you make it”.

“Ezra blocking out the haters!” she captioned the image, continuing: “Thanks for all the kind messages, I wasn’t actually upset reading the message but I chose to share because this is the BS that women have to put up with and I’m trying to raise a little dude who respects women and is against toxic masculinity!

“And guess what… that message was from another woman?!” (sic)

Warner and partner Nat welcomed Ezra in 2023, with the new mum introducing her son with an adorable snap which read: “Sweet baby Ezra. He has made our lives complete. We love you so much son.”

Shortly before the joyous baby news though, tragedy struck the couple as Nat suffered a devastating accident.

In March 2022, he was struck by a car while walking in Leeds and left with life-threatening injuries.

Nat was rushed to hospital with a broken neck, back and two collapsed lungs, with Warner taking a break from the Channel 4 show as he recovered.
