Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree have opened up about the sudden change they have seen in their son during their current tour.

The Escape to the Chateau stars brought along their two children – Arthur, 11, and Dorothy, 10 – for their latest tour which has allowed long-term fans of theirs to have a deeper insight into their family life.

Across the 33 days, Arthur and Dorothy have become more involved in the shows, however, the couple recently admitted the struggles they encounter when trying to find hotel rooms for the four of them.

Strawbridge and Adoree sat down for a new episode of their podcast – Dick & Angel… Chat-eau – where they discussed how much their son had changed during the tour.

Introducing the episode, the 65-year-old said: “We have to be a little bit quiet; we are on tour, and we are actually in a hotel in Coventry.

“The children are in a room next door in the suite, and they are asleep, so we are catching up with you so you know what is going on.”

Adoree continued: They are. I have just been in there to get my shoes because that is where I took them off last night and they are absolutely fast asleep.

“I have got to say, the beds are really comfy! Oh my goodness…” before Strawbridge interjected: “Have you ever been in an Indigo hotel?

“It’s comfy, it really is. We are here, we are on a sofa in our room.”

Touching on the dynamic of their hotel rooms with the children, Adoree said: “There have been some interesting setups.

“The children are not babies anymore and it is something that I’ve mentioned quite a bit on tour because Arthur is absolutely… I think he is growing on tour!

Agreeing on the noticeable change about their son, Strawbridge exclaimed: “I know it’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous!”

Adoree continued: He is so tall now and they need big beds so, I love it when the hotel has a cot out for us when we get here.”

Her husband joked: “Hold on, if there is a lack of big beds and there is a cot, it’s either you or me that ends up in the cot, let’s be completely honest about it.

“The biggest thing is getting in a room with the children, and that’s why we’re being quiet because we are and that’s what we expect. The kids have to be near us, they may not be small but…”

Adoree explained that despite her two children no longer being small in size, they’re still young enough to not have their own independence yet.
