I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here has so far been smooth sailing between campmates, but Saturday’s episode saw the start of some friction.
It came as Dean McCullough scolded the Coronation Street actor after he woke him up from a nap.
However, fans were left furious with McCullough, 32 over the awkward exchange.
It came after Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles joined main camp, lightening the mood after they won an exciting meal for camp.
Following the meal, McCullough decided to take a nap in Danny Jones’ bed, despite the McFly star already refusing to switch with him.
Loose Women star Jane Moore, 62, then decided to get some firewood, at which point the other campmates insisted McCullough should be woken up to help.
Coronation Street star Halsall, 42, was exempt from helping as camp leader, so attempted to wake the radio star up gently.
McCullough didn’t seem to respond and seemed unimpressed at being woken up, prompting the actor to ask: “You don’t fancy it, no?”
When he got no response, Halsall instead followed Moore to help her with the wood.
However, he soon woke up and stormed down to the two, scolding Halsall.
“I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could,” the long-term soap star explained.
In an angry tone, McCullough replied: “Listen to me. If you’re going to wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright?
“It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don’t need to turn around to me and say ‘do you not fancy it?’ And then turn around and walk away.”
“I’ve listened to you, Jane was halfway down here, that’s why I went,” Halsall detailed.
“But you need to give me a minute mate,” McCullough argued.
Taking to x, plenty of fans seemed to side with Halsall as they addressed the interaction.
One penned: “Deans true colours now coming through, nasty man #ImACeleb.”
“Wow that Dean lad is a w*****r #ImACeleb,” a second fumed.
